Great pub food and atmosphere tends to get very busy so advised to book ahead or be prepared for up to an hour for a table. Wide choice dishes. Very nice polite hosts very willing to chat and help on food choices etc. We have used many times for family meal, children welcome too have high chairs for the toddlers.
Lovely pub/restaurant in an old thatched roof building with a cozy, homely feeling and a good atmosphere. The food was good and the service was excellent! Only complaint was that the drinks are quite expensive!
My husband and I have had the most amazing meal at the Golden Retriever this evening! It was an impromptu visit but managed to get a table at the time we required!We ate from the Winter Set Menu where there was lots of variety to choose from! When our food arrive it tasted as good as it looked! In addition the service we received from Sharon was fantastic!
Busy Friday before Christmas. The staff were very friendly and attentive.Food was served very quickly and had great flavours potion size was decent.They had lovely desserts on the menu for the festive season.We would eat there again Great gin selection available in the bar supporting local and other producers
Lovely restaurant with a fire and beams. Good menu with an extensive selection of food. Our food was delicious and well cooked. The desserts were also good.Very efficient and friendly service.Clean toilets and easy parking.
