Staff rude. You have to pay to park then hand ticket in when you pay for your meal. Because we forgot and handed in after.....OMG you thought world war 3 had broke out. Apart from staff that stand around chatting and no rush to serve you I must admit the food was fantastic. Low mark for staff attitude.
Food was good. Service terrible. They had no coleslaw, no vodka and ran out of pinot!! Waitress more interested in phone than serving!!!
This is a very old pub turned into a Beefeater. Very warm and pleasant interior. The staff are very polite and friendly and the food is very nice .
Last Wednesday we had one of our best Christmas dinner. Starting with the prawn cocktail, followed by the whole turkey dinner. Then we just couldn't manage the pudding. 5 star.
We originally booked b&b, but the guy on reception told us about the meal deal so we went for that and got 25% off, the meal was okay both enjoyed our starters and mains. Our only criticism is the breakfast not the best we've ever had. The room and service was very good, we'd go again.
