I have been registered as a Patient at Boundary House for nearly 36 years. It was a different world then to what it is now, but I have found that Boundary House has been able to adapted and developed its services to cope with the pressures face by GP surgeries today. Boundary Houses link with the Primary Health trust works well with the extended hours service, being able to attend health professionals appointments as well as GP Appointments. The new sit and wait service is a big improvement, being able to see a G P the same day for something that needs to be sorted out on the day.I have found the staff to be helpful and professional. Patients need to be more patiant, and appreciate the work they are doing to care for the ever increasing number of Patients registered with them.
Instead of actual appointments they now do a 'sit & wait clinic' in which u turn up at a particular time (11am in my case) & then wait till the doctor/nurse has a space to see u. I didn't realize this so turned up at 10.50 thinking my 3 year old son's appointment was at 11, only to be still sitting here at 11.50 waiting to be seen!! The new system is awful & makes no sense!! Go back to good old fashioned appointments so u don't have to wait over an hour to be seen!!
Last time my appointment was late only for 3 minutes but the receptionist told me you are late you can see the doctor but usually they leave us waiting at the waiting room for long then 20 minutes and we cant say anything I never recommend this GP I want to change it
Was seen exactly on time......very pleasant reception staff. The charming doctor explained my condition so that I could really understand it and he put my mind at ease. Plenty of parking. Keep up the good work.
Absolutely terrible surgery. I only recently joined this practice and I am already changing to another. Two out of the three doctors I have seen have been beyond awful. I have never felt so uncared for and like I am a burden for being there. One of the doctors, the three times I have seen him didn't even bother to examine me and sat silently the ENTIRE time I was there. Didn't even seem like he was fully listening to me when I was telling him my symptoms. I explained I had a high temperature and felt very sick - he didn't even take my temperature. Handed me a prescription without saying a word and only told me what he thought was wrong with me after I asked what he was giving me and why. The doctor I spoke to today, which prompted me to write this review, told me to take up Pilates over the phone when I called about my bad back! They also couldn't offer me an appointment as they're closing at 12 today. Even though 111 advised me I needed to be seen. I have again contacted 111 and have been advised to go to an urgent care centre as (which I also explained to the bondary house doctor) my pain is excruciating and I can barely walk. If you want to feel valued and cared for, I advise you to go elsewhere.
