Great station in terms of functionality, however the atmosphere can be quite dark and almost feel like a crime is about to happen. The station is kept in satisfactory condition, being reasonably clean. Staff are also very nice and helpful, if theyre ever needed. However, on many occasions they havent been exactly on show and sometimes sit in their office.This station does the job for getting from A to B, but dont expect a glamorous welcome when you arrive.
The station was refurbished a while ago to include step free access via lifts which is nice. Only two trains an hour outside of the peak so you can expect trains to be very busy here. Ticket facilities are sub par at best.
