The seating area and decor is absolutely pristine. Lovely atmosphere but very unfortunate customer service, lack of.The light airy space always draws me in but Im very quickly reminded why I hardly come here and why after today I most probably never will. The customer service is usually lame and mediocre but this afternoon its rude, argumentative and very inexperienced. The cake prices are marked by hand on labels that are impossible for the people working here to read. The service is painfully slow and its shocking that the staff dont know that the reason for two prices in/out is due to VAT. No wonder that even though that the town is pretty busy and all the coffee shops I walked by today are heaving yet the lovey Mason & Rye remains virtually empty apart from what is an obvious Fenwicks performance management session taking place. Well at least it works as a department store meeting room since its obviously finding it difficult to attract customers. Such a shame a beautiful space isnt managed by people who are more focused on service.
Nice and very NYC style coffee shop.Nice cakes and the coffee was lovely. Would not recommend their sandwiches as they were dry and tasteless Highly recommend coming here if you shopping in Fenwick's
